Dr Wilson is a professional company director with a background in medicine and finance. She has a Masters degree in Business Administration from the Harvard Business School where she studied agribusiness and the health sector. Jane is the immediate past President of the Australian Institute of Company Directors - Queensland Division, as well as a Director of CathRx Ltd, UQ Holdings Ltd, and the National Archives Advisory Council. Dr Wilson is Finance Director of the Winston Churchill Memorial Trust and was the inaugural Chair of Horticulture Australia Ltd from 2000 to 2004. She is involved in a number of charitable and cultural organisations and has also served on the Queensland Government Biotechnology Taskforce, and the boards of Energex Ltd, WorkCover Queensland, AGEN Ltd and Protagonist Pty Ltd. She is a member of the Premier’s Smart State Council and a member of the University of Queensland Senate.
Kenneth J. Roberts AM, FRACP (Hon), BEc, FCPA, FAIM, FAICD - Deputy Chairman
Ken Roberts was Chairman and Managing Director of Wellcome Australasia Limited and Director of Marketing Development for the Wellcome Worldwide Group until 1996. He is currently a Director of CSL Limited, Chairman of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians Research and Education Foundation, Chairman of the Boards of the Australian Genome Research Facility Ltd and the Australian Phenomics Facility, and Chairman of Start-Up Australia Pty Ltd. He is Deputy Chairman of the University of Queensland's IMBcom Pty Ltd. Mr Roberts was awarded as a Member in the General Division of the Order of Australia in 1995 for service to the pharmaceutical industry and for the promotion of medical research.
Peter Isdale AM, BA (Hons), PhD, MAICD – Chief Executive Officer
Dr Isdale was appointed Chief Executive Officer of IMBcom Pty Ltd in 2003. He is managing director of IMBcom Pty Ltd, a member of the board of the Institute for Molecular Bioscience, a director of ElaCor Pty Ltd, Nephrogenix Pty Ltd, Kalthera Pty Ltd, RRC Company Pty Ltd and a Senior Fellow of the Chaiyong Limthongkul Foundation (Thailand). He is Chairman of the Wetlands and Grasslands Foundation, and an Adjunct Professor at Texas A&M University. Dr Isdale spent 15 years as a marine scientist before being appointed Business Director and senior executive at the Australian Institute of Marine Science. He has had 20 years of directorship on Boards of private, public and ASX-listed companies in Australia, Asia and the Pacific Rim. Dr Isdale was awarded as a Member of the General division of the Order of Australia in 2006 for service to marine science through research and as a contributor to the development and commercialisation of biotechnology.
Mel Bridges BSc, FAICD
Mel Bridges has over 30 years experience in the biotech and healthcare industry. He has founded and managed successful diagnostics, biotech and medical device businesses. A Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Mr Bridges co-founded listed company PANBIO, raising $17 million in its IPO, and is currently Chairman of a number of listed and unlisted companies including, Peptech Limited, Alchemia Limited, Genetic Solutions Pty Ltd, Farmacule Bioindustries Pty Ltd, Meditech Ltd and Cleveland Biosensors Pty Ltd. He is also the founder and Chairman of the medical device group, Impedimed Limited. Mr Bridges has won numerous awards for his achievements, including the Ernst & Young ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ and the 2005 AusBiotech Chairman’s Industry Medal.
Paul Cheever BSc, MBA, F Fin
Paul Cheever has worked in the finance and investment industries for over 33 years. For the past 14 years Paul has had a high profile in the superannuation and investment industry. Paul is a member of the advisory Boards to CM Capital, GBS Genesis and Bioscience Funds, Starfish Pre-Seed and Technology Funds, Allen & Buckeridge III and ETF. Paul was the first Chair of AIMA's Regulatory Committee and was until December 2004 Chair of ASFA's Best Practice Committee.
Paul Greenfield AO, BE, PhD, FTSE, FIChE, FIEAust, CPEng
Professor Greenfield is Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Professor of Chemical Engineering at The University of Queensland. Professor Greenfield has extensive experience as a Board Director, and currently serves on the boards of UniQuest Pty Ltd, Symbiosis Pty Ltd and NICTA Ltd. He is Chair of the Scientific Advisory Group of the Moreton Bay Waterways Partnership. He was awarded as an Officer in the General division of the Order of Australia in 2006 for service to science and engineering, particularly through research in the areas of chemical engineering, biotechnology, wastewater and environmental management, and to the tertiary education sector.
Euan Murdoch Bcom FAICD
Euan Murdoch is Founder of Herron Pharmaceuticals, and is a former Board Member of its parent company, Sigma Pharmaceuticals. Mr Murdoch is also Founder and Executive Chairman of the Board of Imaginot - a research company he established in 2001 through collaboration with the Departments of Medicine and Pharmacy of the University of Queensland. Euan is chairman of Oztech Pty Ltd a R & D company focused on materials technology, Chairman of the Queensland Biotechnology Advisory Council and Director of Hotcross Genetics Pty Ltd. He is a member of the Queensland Smart State Council. Euan Murdoch was a Queensland winner of the Australian Entrepreneur of the Year Awards. He has also received numerous marketing awards from the Public Relations Institute of Australia and the Australian Society of Business Communicators.
Professor David Siddle BA (Hons), PhD Qld, FASSA
Professor Siddle is the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research) at The University of Queensland and is responsible for enhancement of the University’s research and research training profile, and development of research collaborations. He was appointed Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research) in 2002. Previously University of Queensland Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Research) in 2001; University of Sydney Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Research) 1997-2001; and University of Queensland Dean, Postgraduate Studies 1993-1997. Former chair ARC Social Sciences and Humanities Panel 1993-94 and deputy chair ARC Research Grants Committee 1994. He chaired the National Committee of DVCs/ PVCs (Research) in 2001 and was convenor of the Go8 DVCs(R) until December 2007.
