As part of IMBcom commitment to the Institute of Molecular Bioscience (IMB), IMBcom provides training programs to IMB’s staff and students. Training programs include a one-day workshop induction for first year students with a general overview of issues and industry, and a three-day retreat – the BioBusiness Retreat for third year students where we go into detail about specific issues at the business end of biotechnology, in order to support their career choices after completion of their PhD.
IMBcom aims to deliver high quality programs of education about the protection, development and management of intellectual property. IMBcom uses its industry networks to profile the experience of successful entrepreneurs from the many different walks of Bioscience, Legal, Intellectual Property, Venture Capital and Commercialisation together, in order to give a complete picture to the students.
