![]() The Young Achievement Australia program allows students to gain vital industry experience through the creation of small functional businesses. IMBcom was proud to be a sponsor of one of the University of Queensland teams in 2008. The students are charged with the task of developing an innovative product and create a functional business around their product. The IMBcom team trading under the Young Achievement Australia program as EZYaa, released a range of fun and clever Statement t-shirt kits for sale across campus.
IMBcom was pleased to co-sponsor the Career TranZition Luncheon Series These events allowed women working in technology to hear from outstanding professional women in biotech who have led very different career paths. The luncheons provided the opportunity to hear about very divergent career pinnacles of women in commerce, business and academia. These occasions offered an interesting and unique opportunity to explore the forks in their respective roads.
IMBcom was proud to be a sponsor of the 2008 Smart Women - Smart State Awards held by Queensland Government's Office for Women. The Smart Women - Smart State Awards provide the opportunity to acknowledge women who are paving the way in science, engineering and information and communication technology. The awards recognise the contributions of women in a variety of categories ranging from Secondary school students to Women in Industry/Business – Information and Communication Technology. |
